speed cut off @180 kph

Post by Michaelek9 »

I need help on my PRC Hondata ecu with code 10555.

Yesterday I've joined the track day and found out that every time I reach the speed of 180kph the engine starts to cut off.

Asking for your support pls....

serial number of your K-Pro 10555.

- ECU part number (starts with 37820) and serial number (the number under the part number) 37820-PRC-013 2070-301282
- KManager version (not 'the latest') 3.2.2
- the calibration (as an attachment)UPLOADED
- a datalog of a problem (as an attachment)UPLOADED
- what sort of vehicle you have. HONDA CIVIC EK 2000
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc). NO MODIFICATION DONE. The 1st reason I bought the Hondata kpro is to get rid of getting speed cut off
- a specific description of the problem> speed cut off everytime I reach 180kph
-When and where you got the K-Pro> 6 months ago at lap57 distributor of hondata here in UAE.

Most of the recent posts leave out information pertinent to solving the problem.

If you have an engine swap, please mention this. There are known problems with some of the engine harness used in engine swaps.

my project is honda civic ek swap with k20 dc5r engine, I used hybrid racing adaptor harness.

The highest speed that datalog shows is 23mph

You must post a datalog showing the problem.

Without a datalog showing hte actual problem there is nothing to look at to determine what the actual cause is.

Is there any parameters that you can disable or enable the speed limiter?

I will try to data log this weekend and send to you the file. What are the possibilities that causes the issue?

No there are no parameters for that. That is why we need to see a datalog that shows the issue.

Finally I was able to data log yesterday during track day

Same issue at speed of 111 mph will cut off.

In the datalog exactly where is the issue? At 4:33 and 6:13 I don't see a cut off - only the throttle being closed. The AF is pegged rich so it might be a rich misfire.

yes the throttle will be closed since I was on the breaking point but before that I'm on flat out on the acceleration pedal, the speed is cutting off consistently. It's just the same of my spare PRC ecu :(

It's not a speed cut. The injector duration is not changing.

what is cause of injector duration is not changing? can you elaborate it.

Is there any other support from your side?like do some trouble shooting.

For instance if I will try to test on the other car and I get the same issue, what would be your next remedy?

If there was a speed cut the injector duration would drop to 0 ms. Since it does not, it is not an ECU speed cut.

Given the AF is pegged rich I would look at the tuning first.
