Ecu internal circuit malfunction...HELP!

Post by R-civic »

Gents,

i really hope somebody can help me out here.

I have this error: P1607 Ecu Internal Circuit Malfunction Circuit (check calibration type)

i was using a calibration from the older software version, when i updated the software i got a pop-up every time showing that i needed to update my calibration because it was old. After i uploaded a new calibration fron the newer software i still got the pop-up now and then.
I decided to install K-pro all over and again use a new calibration from the newer software.
The pop-up is not showing anymore but im getting the error showed in the beginning of this post.

Really dont know how to solve this issue, i so hope that the ecu is not damaged or some sort since its not mine actually. Oh and im using a new engine harnas, dont think thats the issue but maybe worth mentioning

Can somebody please take some time to help me out here.

Thanks in advance,

Joshua

What ECU do you have, and what calibration are you uploading? This error is most likely from uploading a PRB calibration into a non PRB ECU.

Spunkster thanks for replying...your answer made me solve this issue

I took the ecu cover off and found out that it was not a PRB after all, they told me it was. But it said PRA
So i uploaded a PRA kal and viola, no more error codes.

Stupid mistake actually.

Edit...

The car is running now, before start it doesnt show any errors. After running for some time the check engine jumps on, and in K-pro shows P1302 O2 sensor voltage high.

Is my O2 sensor gone bad, maybe something with the wiring

Have you followed the troubleshooting steps in the factory service manual for that error code?
