hey doug , heres is some more info into this problem.the ecu reads this prompt outside the car as well.also i had an a/f meter and a turbo timer hooked up.the a/f meter had been in since the turbo install(5months)the turbo timer for 3 months.i took those out today.it shouldnt matter though because it doesnt work outside the car anyways.still trying.
If your vehicle is naturally aspirated then use the stock plugs. If you have low pressure forced induction, then use the stock plugs. For over 10 lbs of boost, depending on what your engine builder recommends, consider a colder heat range iridium plug. Most plugs have built in resistors, you can check with the plug manufacturer's plug identifcation guide. Non-resistor plugs tend to be labeled 'non-resistor' since they are rare nowdays (the NGK v-power has 'non-resistor' on the outer cardboard box.
Learnt something about K-Series engines Joe? We all did. This has got to be an interesting conversation, a spark plug type causing a usb-serial error? I'm subscribing to this thread..
