FP issue on R18
- serial number of your FlashPro Fp-R18-US 50244
- FlashPro Manager version (not 'the latest') V 1.3.3.0
- what sort of vehicle you have ? Honda civic FD with R18 engine, previously running on automatic transmission, then swap to manual gear. The engine is running fine with the original ECU GCC spec with ecu AT. But now we decided to upgrade the ecu from GCC spec to US spec with the following serial number 37820-RNA-A08 and purchase the flash pro as mention above with the serial number. while selecting the lock to vehicle a pop a message appears "this fp can be used with civic r18 american vehicle the current vehicle is unknown for your support pls... Does the ECU need to be reflash by HONDATA prior purchasing it?

Re: FP issue on R18
We do not offer any reflashes for the R18. We do not recommend or support ECU swaps such as this, so any attempt to do this is at your own risk.

Re: FP issue on R18
You could try downloading the most recent version of software, but this is still unsupported.

Re: FP issue on R18
I'm sorry, but this is unsupported. We do not recommend swapping of ECUs and if it does not work, there is nothign we can do. This is done at your own risk.

Re: FP issue on R18
for instance my ecu got burnt, as per your statement swapping ecu is not supported then it is not recommended to buy ECU from US (compatible with PF) just to make the engine run. If the ECU crashes, do you need to buy both ecu along with the engine?Spunkster wrote:I'm sorry, but this is unsupported. Can they reflash the ecu from HONDA dealer?
Re: FP issue on R18
If you damage your ECU you need to replace it with the same part number that was originally in the vehicle and the dealer would have to program the immobilizer to match it.
