Flashpro Help!

Post by bigboy56 »

WE are in a no start condition. 2006 civic si. Using flashpro we cannot get the ECM to return to stock so we can remove it. It downloads from the computer to the flashpro but not from the FP to the ECU. Is their a battery in the FP. When the FP is disconnected from the computer the power light blinks. the datalog light never lights. we are going to check the wiring from the obd2 connector to the ecu. We might put in a used ecu to test. We don't lose our flash pro unit but we need to get the car running.

What software version are you using?

In FlashProManager what do the symbols on the bottom left show (driver, flashpro, ecu etc)?

Are you uploading from a laptop or using the button on the FlashPro?

Sorry for the delay the race car was outside on the rollback with no availble bay, our shop slammed with work. version 1.3.3.0, Cali SN-FP-SI-US-12702 VIN 2HGFG21586H707073 02/06/2011

DRIVER -GREEN CHECK / FLASHPRO -GREEEN CHECK/ OBD 2 -GREEN CHECK/ ECU RED- X

We are try to down load direct from the computer. The download bar says complete but when we try to disconnect it says we to return it to stock. Press the down load button on the FP does nothing

Before doing anything else, download the most recent beta version of software from the downloads section of the website and see if that resolves any of the issues you are having. The software you have is over 9 months old.

In FlashPro manager go to Help, and click on send information to Hondata support. Include a discription of the problem.

Sorry is the send info on the downloaded flash manager not the web site ?

Just an add on to our issue. We took the car to a honda dealer to have another key made. they assured us that they could deal with the flashpro. well 6hrs later and a$400.00 bill later which they said they cut in half
they threw their hands up. The tech said if he had to gamble he would change the fuse block or insterment panel. I know the fuel pump relay is not turning on. there is power. and when jumpered the fuel pump it worked.
We are not getting the signel from the ecu to turn on the fuel pump

Thanks

I believe the ECU is in recovery mode, and therefore will not communicate with the Honda tool. Please don't get Honda to replace the ECU.

'Send Support Information' is available from the Help menu. See help

Tried another calibration this morning. Sent info.Still have a red x at ecu spot.
Guys please note, This car was running during a race when it failed. Came into the pits and tried to restart, no spark or fpump. Car went into trailer last Oct. Here we are now tring to get it going. Could the problem be with the FP unit? WE have a matched used ECU & Ignition switch/key ready to go, but we don't want to ruin our FP.

We can overnight the FP so you test it and unlock it if we go with another ecu. We are 30 days from our first race so the heat is on. Its hard for us in Maine we still have snow on the ground and to have faith that spring will come and racing will happen.
