H22A s200b need a starting point!

Post by sipower »

Hey everyone Ive put together a h23vtec motor with forged internals and currently have a hondata s100. I am upgrading to a s200b for the turbo setup I am putting on right now. Does anyone have a base map for the h22a I could use as a starting point in my tuning process? I am still shopping for injectors so if anyone has a good map I would greatly appreciate it. My email is sipower@realm-net.com . -Casey

power goal

Post by sipower »

Well, I would like at least 300-350whp. The motor is sleeved with je pistons and crower rods and arp head studs. I don't want to underestimate my power goal but the turbo I am using is a t3/t04e .50 a/r and .63 exhaust. I am a first time tuner with the hondata so I don't know exactly what kind of power I can put out. Any good suggestions or perhaps a map I can go off of and fine tune would be great. I will probly get some 450cc or 720cc..depends if anyone here has something I can work with. THANKS!!!

450s are marginal at best. we have 630cc sat injectors that drop in for $300/set. let me see if i have a base tune that will get you going. i'll get back to you tonight on it.

one other question: stock or 3-bar map sensor? i recommend the 3 bar.
do you know what trim the compressor wheel is?
i have a 3-bar tune for 96# injectors with a 57 trim. you'd have to adjust for the injectors, but it would be a good starting point.

Hey, yes its actually a 57 trim. Did you say 960cc injectors? the forum didnt print it out right. I have a stock map sensor...how much boost did you run with that map? Thanks for all the help

we tuned it to 21psi.
96#=1008cc/min.
you need a 3-bar for sure :)
15psi on an extremely conservative tune was around 315whp.
we maxed at close to 390whp using c16 for safety.

Alright, so with your map..I should get 1006cc injectors and a 3bar map sensor and be ok running 15-21psi on 93 octane? I will probly drive it down south to a hondata dealer to fine tune. I don't know if I trust my skills that much for that kind of power. thanks so much for your help. my email is sipower@realm-net.com

you will have to have it tuned for your vehicle, but it will be a good starting point...i would avoid boost until you get to the tuner unless you have a wideband to keep tabs on how the air fuel is on your combination. email me at ravermotorsports@earthlink.net just as a reminder and i'll send you the bin. this pc won't send 'mail but i'll send it from work.
