ELD question (in reference to data logging, etc)
By disconnecting the ELD in order to use input 10 for datalogging, what is the effect? I assume the alternator will default to its maximum output? Anyone notice any longer term issues? I.E. alternators wearing out prematurely or anything else I should be concerned with? Thanks.

Re: ELD question (in reference to data logging, etc)
The ELD does not control the alternator (perhaps you are confusing it with the ALTC). The ELD just idles up the engine very slightly with high electrical load.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion. I'll try it. It's always reversible I guess if it causes problems.
