Trouble with Valet mode and Aircon Switch

Post by adrian.romen »

Hi Guys,

First up, thank you for the awesome new Valet and Security features!

I was testing the Valet mode with activation via Aircon Switch
(Aircon is on when key is turned to on == valet mode)

First Problem was the car still could be revved past the limit rpm.
Second Problem is even though Hondata read that the AirconSwitch is On, no power / voltage is actually supplied to the aircon compressor.

Inverting the switch (Aircon off = valet mode) worked fine (hits rev limit, aircon works) though, but this is impractical as you usually have your aircon off when you switch the ignition on.

At the moment I've reverted to using the Brake pedal switch. Works like a charm :D

Thank you again!

The AC input should only be used if the vehicle no longer has AC. The inputs are designed to be used whn they are no longer connected to the item ther were originally designed for. Typically a separate switch it wired to these inputs for aftermarket use.
