I'm asking out of curiousity,
The previous owner really didn't know much about his car(odd). He just knew its stock b16 with 8 psi E85. As for parts on the car he didn't really know much either, except the parts he put on himself. He said the ECU is Hondata and S300. (He wasn't too good at english which makes it harder for me to talk to him when i bought the car and call for questions)
I was wondering if there would be a safe way for me to install SManger on a Laptop and link the ECU and Laptop to see the settings everything was set at? Or will I erase everything and blow it up?
Need some help..
Re: Need some help..
the best way would be to get the map installed via email.
another option, which is possible but not recommended, is to download the map from the ECU.
you just install the most current version (2.2.4) of smanager to your computer, put the USB cable in, wait that the drivers install correctly and then start the program.
under "Online" you find "Download". there you can get the map you have on your S300 ECU.
another possibility is to tell us where you are from and get someone, who can help you to overlook your car and map.
best regards Lukas

Re: Need some help..
How does Via Email work?
Let me get this strait in order:
Get a Laptop
Install SManager
Get a USB Cord and plug it in the PC
Get my ECU and plug the other end of the USB to it
Wait for a It to ask to update drivers and update/install
Start SManager
Go to Online > Download
save my current settings without losing them
Correct?
I live in Sioux Falls, SD. Only people I know that would help me is a Auto Sports shop which cost $90.00 hr.

Re: Need some help..
via Email means, that you should contact the previous owner or tuner and ask him for the file.
by connecting the ECU to the computer, the ECU must be in the car and the the ignition must be switched on, that the ECU gets power.
first of all: get used to Smanager and read the help file ;) that will answer you a lot of questions.
question about the people, who can help you: don't you have any friends, that know something about cars, honda and hondata?
best regards Lukas

Re: Need some help..
Have you heard of Full Blown Motor Sports in Minnesota? I tried to email them. I gave them my VIN number too so they can narrow it down. The previous owner hasn't contacted me yet about the map, if he saved it or not. I think I'll try hooking up my pc to the ECU if I can't find it by Email or Previous owner. As for any of my friend knowing about Hondata, none of them do. They know about Hondas/Acruas but not the ECU/Hondata.
