Hi guys,
Trying to make an adjustment to my cars Idle Duty as I had to clean my ICV as i was getting horrible rev issues, however i am having a few problems with the software. The car was tuned 3 years ago and hasnt been touched since.
The ECU and laptop connect fine and it says online.
When I select to start data logging it comes up with a warning saying the calibration on the ecu is from an older version of k manager (1.3.9.0) it then goes on to say I need to upgrade the ecu calibration before data logging can be done.
Can I just download the old software? Is it available? Or if i upgrade the ECU calibration will i lose the MAP that has been done?
The tuner is 4 hours away and im seriously considering driving that far away for them to do it but just though i would see what you guys think.
Thanks
Alex

Download the most recent version of software from the downloads section of our website. Load your calibration into the software then upload it to the ECU. You can then datalog and make any changes you want to the software.
IF you don't have the calibraiton I would recommend contacting your tuner to see if they can email it to you. If they do not have it you can try to download it form teh ECU in the Online Menu, but this should only be used as a last resort and could result in a corrupted calibraiton.

Not trying to jack this thread, but I am having similar issues that Alex_Wilson has. I downloaded the calibration from the ecu cause mine was an older version as well, didn't have the original .kal with me. Now, since spunkster mentioned that if it was downloaded, it could lead to a corrupted file. I'm worried about uploading into the newer version, cause what if it's corrupted then I won't be able to start the car? I'm trying to datalog it so I can read how it's running. Would it be okay to upload it?
Can the filename be changed before uploading or it needs to have the same name that it downloaded from the ecu? Also, what happens if it doesn't upload and turns out to be corrupted? I'll have to start a new calibration and use a PRB RSX-S base map to get it running temporary?

If you cannot tell it is corrupted by looking at the calibration then the only thing you can do is upload it. Once uploaded there is no going back. If it is corrupted, you will have to start from a new calibration.
