my car WILL NOT idle when motor is cold and its below ~40f outside until it warms up a bit. i have to hold or pump the pedal to keep it running for a few minutes before it will idle on its own.
i understand the settings but just looking for a bit of guidance before i make any adjustments.

-40 is super cold!!!
Please attach your s300 tune, (and a datalog if possible) so we can review it.
What spark plugs are you running?
If your crv starts, and then dies ( wont idle ) then I might think to look/adjust your "Post start fuel rate of decay"
Another thought is the ign timing, such cold weather, the fuel will take longer to combust, thus you may need to play with the timing to off set this.
No one will know if you dont post your tune.
Or your "fast idle" wax valve is sticking.....
Does it have the same symptoms when the factory ecu is swapped out?

using reccomended "stock" (but new) ngk vpowers
it starts and revs to 1800 or so then dies unless you hold the pedal
there is no FITV. and factory ecu does the same.
i do have a known bad TPS but have it disabled in s300.
will post my tune shortly. thanks

Two things come to mind-
- IAC's tend to stick when in cold weather. But that wouldn't account for the 1800 rpm start up.
- TPS is a major player of ECU inputs, How is it "disabled" in the s300?

You cannot disable the TPS in Smanager.
