I am having almost exactly the same symptoms as outlined in this post:
http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=15618
1. I cannot erase the ECU.
2. Downloading from the ECU gives a junk map.
3. When the ECU is "corrupted," the idle is at ~1500RPM, and the fuel pump primes when IGN is switched on.
4. When the ECU is in a good state, the idle is at ~850RPM, and the fuel pump does not prime.
5. The datalogs on the ECU are all junk values, some showing negative time lengths.
6. When the ECU is "corrupted," the engine begins to misfire(?) at ~3000RPM.
7. When the ECU is "corrupted," I get CELs for Knock Sensor and VTEC spool and the proper map has these disabled.
8. When the ECU is "corrupted," I cannot connect to datalog.
9. I've removed the Hondata and ran the P28 ECU as an experiment, and the engine runs as it does when it is "corrupted." This leads me to believe that the Hondata is only working some of the time and the ECU is falling back to stock calibration when the Hondata isn't working correctly.
10. I've reseated the Hondata on the pins several times and checked all connectors. All solder joints appear to be of good health.
11. The engine runs fine on the stock ECU.
12. Occasionally the ECU will take an upload and run fine until the next power cycle.
Luckily the P28 runs the engine terribly and it's obvious that the Hondata is not working correctly. If I already had the upgraded injectors in, I believe this would show up as a no-start condition.
Either way, I'm out of ideas on what else to inspect.
Configuration:
B18B w/ stock injectors
S300 v1 in P28 ECU (Serial #13143)
SManager 2.1.5 & 2.2.4
