Upgrading older K-Pro to K-Pro v3 on a 2003 RSX-S question.

Post by mattlock »

Hi,

A quick question about upgrading to K-Pro v3:
I see the option for upgrading the K-Pro to K-Pro v3 but it mentions 05-06 model RSX-S. I have an older K-Pro with serial number 280-something and a 2003 RSX-S. Is there an upgrade path for this platform, and will the calibration remain intact after the upgrade to K-Pro III?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

I'm glad to see an upgrade option is available. Can you let me know if the existing calibration on the ECU is removed or reset for the upgrade?

I tried to download the calibration from my ECU with KPRO but it says it was loaded with an old version, warns about downloading directly from
the ECU, and finally errors with an Abnormal program termination. I have ECU #281, Firmware 1.01, Software 0.1.0.0, ECU PRB RSX Type S and
security disabled if that makes a difference. If the calibration isn't retained on the ECU as part of the upgrade, then I need to know so I can take that
into consideration for the timing of my ECU upgrade. (I lost the laptop copy of the calibration quite some time ago when the laptop crashed)

Thanks,
Matt

You should have the calibration saved to your computer before sending it in as we do not transfer the calibration over.
