Kpro problem

Post by Rx7turbo287 »

I need help :( I been having issue since I put in new tensioner, I thought may be I jumped time but engine run and idle good. My problem start with daughter board error, clean dtc, and after that it's been cutting out when driving, and on low speed during 2700-3000, for a sec, then power resume, it feel very weak. So I read up that something do with kpro map
Being it never clear the old map, so I read up here, and clear security, to start over, well I try to upload new calibration and it keep showing saving calibration, and that's it, I try to start it, it will not start at all, I try again it just won't start.

I plug my old ecu back in and it start, I switch back, and it will not start and I checked immobilize off and it is off, I try stock map, won't work I try hondata 4 won't work. I m really frustrated. Really want kpro work again, I only have it for 2 weeks. :(

What is the serial number of the K-Pro board inside the ECU and what is the version of software you are using from Help, About?

3.1.6 64 bit windows 7

My car have aem intake v2, dc 4/2/1 header, greddy catback 2.5, comp 11lb flywheel, comp stage 4 clutch 6 puck. Before kpro, after kpro is the same have not done anything else.
With kpro install I upload k20a2 map with cold air intake dyno tuned
Made some adjustment last 3 col. Increased fuel, with oem
Wideband(3 weeks old)

I replace tensioner after kpro, cuz I hear some noises when cold start up. Car felt the same, but after a day, I start notice engine will Borg at around 2700-3000 during from a stop. Driving normally, no error code, next day dtc code pop up can't rev pass 4k, so I checked, daughter board error.... So I clear it, and it rev pass 4 and it's not as powerful. Only thing left to me to believe, A jumped time during install of tensioner, or B something going on with kpro. So I start fresh and erase the old map, by doing security clear. And wait 1 min like it said on website. Then press new calibration and select k20a2 with cold air... And checked immobilize off. And upload the map, it show a bar said "saving"
It completed, and I hear ecu click(Injector) then I try to start it, it will not start, I keep trying and it didnt, at one of the time cranking with kpro it try to start, very very light combustion, but u can tell it tried to start. Then I re upload again nothing happen, just cranks
During this processor, it show USB installed, ecu connected.

So I change back to my stock ecu, engine started right up, now I can still feel the Borg, but engine run and operates, also right before I clear security at earlier that day, my idle is rough, like u just reset ecu and car is relearning. But I didn't reset or do anything.

In my mind even if I was out of time slightly with stock ecu able to start and run the engine, It shouldn't affect the kpro, it feel like kpro is not loading up the map, but it show it is saving the map. I did not replace any part. Everything but bolt ok I mention is oem factory part,

Start by downloading the most recent beta version of the software. Then to to Online, Tools and erase the ECU. When that finishes, close the program and reopen it. Go to file new and load a new calibration and upload to the ECU.

You probably had a partial upload after clearing security.
