Misfire third cylinder

Post by Boosted02types »

Misfire third cylinder k20a2

I checked injectors, plugs, wires, compression.

Could this misfire be due to a faulty ecu?

How can I check the ecu to make sure it is good?

Typically only if injectors have been changed (and the wiring shorted) or low impedance injectors used.

Try the ECU in a known good vehicle.

Also check the coils, as they occasionally go bad.

I am using low impedance injectors with a resistor box. Could the resistor box be the issue? How do I check to make sure it is good?

It could be any number of things. YOu really should first try the ECU in a known working vehicle and see if it runs properly and all injectors and spark plugs fire correctly. If they do not then the ECU is probably damaged and would need to be replaced.
