auto base tune

Post by sikyota »

im confused on how this actually works or what needs to be done to make it work properly to create a base map... any helpful information will be very apreciated.... i have a aem wideband that has a white wire analog output.. does that need to be connected to the s300 V2 chip in the 7 or 8 pin pigtail that comes with the s300... and when that is hooked up do i just click the set auto base tune and start driving around town like a regular human and it then creates the map as i drive ? im having a hell of a time getting my car to run with 550 12ohm injectors using all the basemap calibrations from smanager from the b16 to the b18c5 jrsc tunes and modifying fuel pressure and changng the overall fuel trim due to injector differences and cannot go the car to run good.. it ran better with the jrsc 440 tune with stock injectors and the sc is hittin 15psi boost on a stock rebuild jsr engine stock engine minus the bolt on parts and full head port match...

im just wondering how the autotune works and if i could set the auto tune on the drive and it will get me in the ball park for a base tune compared to the ones s300 have in the smanager.... thanks for your time

as far as i know the pins on the V2 is only for datalogging and not for tuning.

for this you should hook up your wideband to ELD or O2.

set you fuel pressure to the pressure, the injectors are built.
reset the injector size in smanager, type in the correct dead times.

and after that you should start tuning in open loop, start with the first and second row, that your car runs smooth

and then get on the road.

to the auto-tune i can't say anything. i have never figured out, how that shall work. it is a miracle :D

CTRL-T must be held down in order to autotune.

You must also use one of the analog inputs to the ECU (O2 - D14 is not recommended as it cannot read the entire voltage range). The additional inputs on the s300 V2 cannot be used for this as it is not seen by the ECU.

ill try to do that and is there anyway you guys have a basemap closer then what smanager has thats more to my preferences ?

so set the fuel pressure to what the lb rating of the injector is rated at.. and when i type in the fuel pressure ratings in the fuel trim are would i use 220cc at 48lbs for the stock injector then use 45lbs at 550cc for the new injectors?

thanks for the advice.

although i have researched the new injectors im unable to find any specs on the dead time of the injectors is that somethng that has a formula to find out the dead time or a set standard depending on injector?
