Analog Input of LC1 is incredibly wrong

Post by magnEsium »

I am using K-Manager v3.1.6

I am tuning a customer and an Innovate LC1 is wired in to Analog 5 on his K-Pro V3. I set the analog input in the calibration to LC1 and the datalog displays a 30, sometimes 40:1 air fuel ratio or higher. I then input a custom value of 0v=7.35 and 5v=22.39 and it comes out to an airfuel ratio of 230:1.

Finally, leaving it empty and have it report just voltage, it shows 3v which translates to about a 16.5:1 which sounds half way accurate at the time.

We also tried Analog 1 through 4 as well with same results.

What is the issue here? Attached is the last datalog taken and the calibration with the custom input values.

Start by downloading the most recent beta version of software from the downloads section of the website. Reupload your calibration using the new version and try datalogging again. See if that resolves the issue.

I was going to do that originally but didn't as I am not a big fan of betas.

But I will do that and report back.

Thanks

First, the LC-1 is difficult because the output can be varied from the LC-1, so the LC-1 has to be set up as to what KManager expects. KManager uses the LM-1 calibration (1V=10:1, 2V=20:1) for the LC-1. Compounding this is the problem where the LC-1 resets its outputs settings once in a while (mine does every couple of weeks).

If you use a custom input then the voltage/value units are in lambda, not air/fuel. Set the values based on lambda and it will work as expected. I'll change the analog input settings to show the units.

I wired the brown wire of the LC-1 to analog 0 and the reading shows 40:1.

What could be the caused?

How can i get a accurate reading in kpro?

Calibration and datalog as well as the version of software you are using from Help, About.
