K20a2 ITB light increase throttle leans the engine out?

Post by ekjay »

Info:
k20a2
52mm itb
Alpha-N

So iv got the car to run and idle decently on alpha-N (14.7ish at idle) but the problem im running into is when im slowly increasing throttle the engine will start to lean out and die sometimes.. but other times it seems i can rev it a little quicker and its totally fine? its just when im super slowly trying to raise the idle.

any ideas as to what could this be? my fuel tables start really high, and ignition may be off too? iv just been playing around with it and seeing what sounds right and looks right on some data logs.

ill record a data log of the light throttle to lean condition.

alright so I adjusted some things from previous map, lowered whole fuel table quite a bit. but it still suffers from the same issue where i give it throttle and itll lean out and die, seems like it does this if im around 1000rpm-1500rpm, but if im up over 2k rpm then i can rev freely and itll be fine?

*near the end im starting to rev it more and eventually it just gets too lean and dies out.

heres the current data log and kal.

now that i think of it, seems if its running a little on the rich side it seems fine? ITB's like to run rich at idle? like say in the low 13's?

if this is fine then ill keep it at that then start maybe street tuning
