New (old) Car with Problems

Post by Alexf2k9 »

I just picked up a 1992 Civic CX with a D16Z6 swap (bone stock). After driving the car with the ecu that came with the car for 10-15 mins the check engine light turns on with Code 1(Heated 02 sensor a), Code 7 (TPS), Code 10(IAT), and code 43(fuel supply system). After the CEL turns on the car runs like crap, no acceleration, boggs down, no throttle response.

I hooked up my P28 with Hondata S300 to the car and drove it, no check engine light turns on. The TPS operates normally, when pressing the accelerator the TPS % moves respectively. When cold starting the vehicle the IAT's were around ambient air temperature and when up as the engine warmed up the IAT's raised.

I tested fuel pressure, and it is within specs. I tested compression, 160 in 3 cylinders 150 in 1 cylinder. I've checked all the grounds and everything seems to be ok.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

So it runs as it should using a Hondata, but not with a stock ECU?

No, it still boggs down, but never sets a CEL with the S300 ecu.

This doesn't sound like a Hondata issue then, it sounds like this vehicle has a wiring or mechanical issue. The stock ECU may be more sensitive to the problem which is why it is throwing error codes. Have you attempted to follow the factory service manual for those error codes?

I don't think it is a hondata issue either. I was just wondering if someone could help me diagnose my problem with the datalog I posted.
