many driveabilty problems- intermittent

Post by NateCr3 »

I have a 95 civic hb with gsr turboed. Running s300 with current software. Ecu bought and tuned by evans tuning.
I live in N.C. and ever since it started getting cold out ive been having stalling/ bogging problems. It started one morning- i always let my car idle 10 min or so to warm up. I let it warm up and went to drive it- got to red light couple hundred yards away and was sitting there for a minute and engine stalled. Could restart and would idle for 2 seconds then shut off- would just do this over and over again.
I was on my way to work so i had to push it out of way and go to work. Car sat all day and came back and it started and ran fine. Started searching for a problem. Only thing i found was rust dust inside dizzy- moisture must have gotten in. Replaced entire dizzy all brand new coil, icm everything aftermarket though. Let it idle at work for awhile and drove it around no problems. For two weeks had no problems. Then it started again same problem and some new ones. It will start and stall like before- cannot keep running by opening
throttle. Now it will due same problem when engine is hot or cold and it will sometimes completley stall when driving down road and if leave key on in gear will restart- no cranking starts on own. It sometimes will also bog when opening throttle- bogs and will shut off with foot on throttle if let off throttle will idle. Does this intermittently. Have looked at all sensor data- none erratic. Checked led operation on ecm- normal- flashing red and solid green when datalogging- does not stop datalogging or anything when problems occur.
Sometimes when it does stall it will not start at all- have verified good fuel and spark when problem occurs. Cancome back to vehicle hr later and it will run fine then. I have removed and replaced fuel filter, removed and visually inspected fuel pump and pickup screen, removed and inspected injectors and screens-id1000s-have aem fpr removed and inspected diaphragm for damage- has torn before was not a good experiance. Have tried wiggle testing various connections and sections of wiring causes no problems to occur. Was having idle surge problems and replaced iacv- has no thermo valve installed- surge no longer present but still have all other issues.
Have smoked tested engine to check for vac leaks and sprayed carb cleaner all over- no problem. Was thinking maybe map or baro porblem but when problems occur neither sensor reading is erratic. Have hondata 4 bar installed. Have removed and inspected wiring at ecu- see no problems. Nothing has been changed to tune or to engine in 2yrs. One thing i have noticed is cel is erratic has been so for a yr but problems didnt occur to recently. If ecu sets a code cel will flash erraticly not like if i have connecter jumpered to check codes just flashed randomly if code sets untill code is set. CEL bubl check is normal. I need some help ive exhausted just about everything i know to check. solid red led indicates com problem between ecu and s300 right??? never had this problem though. So even if i dont have that there could be a problem with s300 or ecu itself right?? Do not have acess to another to try ecu in or another ecu to try in mine. I was thinking about removing ecu and puttingit in freezer as we have had a couple days above 60 degreesand problem only happens wheen cooler ambient temps to see if i could make problem happed. Sorry for such long post but its driving me crazy now that i havent been able to figure it out yet. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED THANK YOU

another thing i left out is i tried re- uploading my calibration today- I had the calibration in my email still that ws sent from evans unchanged from him. I uploadedit and went to drive away and it would only rev to 2500 rpm. Checked overall rev limiter and it was set to 2500 rpm. Up loaded calibration again and checked rev limiter and it was where it was supposed to be now. The only thing ive everchanged to calibration is boost by gear pressures and it been a yr since ive done that.
