Noob question on Injectors
Noob question on Injectors
Under parameters injectors, when you have the stock and change to current injector, will you see If it does anything to the fuel table because it looks the same to me. Also, is there any other mandatory settings you need to the injectors just to use on a base map. thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this.
Re: Noob question on Injectors
No, adjusting the injector size will not change the fuel tables. It makes adjustments to the overall fuel trim behind the scenes. Make sure that you properly set the dead times for the injectors you are using.
Re: Noob question on Injectors
@Spunkster: could you maybe say something on the fuel values? is there any unit? what does that number represent (well, higher number = more fuel is obvious)?
is there any way, how to interpret the values, to change the values to opening time in [ms]?
would be great, if you could give an answer.
best regards Lukas

Re: Noob question on Injectors
Thanks for the explanation in the second post, thought I was going crazy. I had to call up the injector manufacturer to get the specs on it. Couldnt match the exact voltages that they provided but I got close to it in the settings. I am running e85 on a boosted d15b originally used a chipped ecu and just got the S300. Used the base map for it, went 30% across the board on the fuel table, added 2 degrees on the timing. Fired it up and it Idled rough, wouldnt die though. the wideband showed it being really rich(actually un burned fuel guess because the injectors dead times were the default ones). Hopefully itll Idle right when I get back home to re adjust these settings.
Re: Noob question on Injectors
There are no units on the fuel tables, they are just relative numbers.
