Wont stay online with engine running

Post by Liteyouup »

[*]Kpro SN 11485
PRB-A085
2068-512381
2002 Acura RSX-S
AEM v2
Hytech header and exhaust. No cat
Kpro is new

So I got the kpro to work while engine is off, but if you try to start the car and leave the display on it will not stay online. Goes off and on. What can I start to look at for the cause of this? It lets you upload if engine is not running so I've been driving the car around. Had CEL twice and went into Limp mode on stock cal.

Sadly everyone I've asked has had the same response.

What spark plugs are you using?

Sometimes this happens... I saw the solution on another hondata post, but I cannot find it so I will repost.

There is some issue with intereference coming down the USB cable. Some laptops are more succeptible to this and others are not.

Simple solution is to go to radioshack and buy a ferrite choke. looks like this. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2103979

I put both together, wrapped the USB cable around one side closest to the computer as much as possible and clipped them together.

Works great.

I am having the same issue. Kpro in a prelude racecar, stock k24, custom chassis harness. I am having intermittent communication while engine is running, no issue with engine off. I am interested to hear the answer to the spark plug question.
