Urgent matter - protect the ECU

Hi

Tomorrow I will put the car to the garage
Because of my higly modified motor, low temperature (winter), I want to protect my car against somebody for him not able to drive more that 4500rpm
Okay easy to set.
But if I protect the ECU, to prevent download , upload of modifying. Can I revert?
I've set password but dont know the effect. Seems not enough

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Unless they know they password they will not be able to upload.

If you don't want someone driving your car then just remove the ECU and take it with you.

OKay I understand.

So password is enough, I don't need to use the "protect ecu"
They will need to move the car and start the engine, I'm going made make a custom manifold and full exhaust 76mm
