General Question: Chk Light Turn On, On Start Up

General question: i started my car today and the chk eng light came on, after i reached home i used the kmanager to find out what the code was and its states:

"Daughter board communication error (barrery vol. . . " didnt see anything pass this.

datalist shows my battery voltage at 13.7v at idle, car starts great never had a problem with my KPro III.

i cleared the code and the light is out now but wanted to know if i have a bigger problem soon to happen.

Vehicle: 2005 EP3 UKDM
Modified: nothing electrically
Its a genuine kpro III i got July 2012 via a dealer in P.Rico.

i do believe it will be good now, the vehicle was sitting for a day or so and the battery is not new so it maybe signs that i need a new battery. . .
