The past couple of weeks, my car's been idling about 1500-2000 rpm and it's set to 800. The guy that tuned my car adjusted the IAC Duty Cycle and I'm wondering if I should try adjusting that some more. It started acting up a few days before my radiator finally gave up the ghost after 17 years and I replaced it the same day, but I'm wondering if maybe it has something to do with that, because this car had a bad water pump at one time and that affected the idle this same way. But after the car sits at idle for a couple minutes, it usually goes back to normal, so I'm not sure what the center of the problem is.
Any and all input is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Idling really high
Re: Idling really high
Try cleaning the idle valve, make sure the coolant is bled and that there are no leaks in the throttle body.
