Need my current kal back on my kmanager....

Post by Heronbone »

So my hard drive (laptop) got fried and I had replace it. I lost my saved kal and can't figure out how to take my kal that's in my ECU now and re-save it back on my computer so I can upload it back onto my kmanager so I can make adjustments to it. Also, apparently my kal that's in my ECU is an older version (1.3.2.0) and I cannot datalog because my kmanager on my laptop is a newer version. How do I go about getting the older kmanager back onto my laptop so I can get everything working again?

1. I need to know how to save my current kal on my ECU back to my laptop.
2. I need to know how to get the older version of kamanger.

Thanks.

You should not try to install an older version of software as that will just make things worse. YOu can try downloading the calibration from the eCU by goign to Online, Tools and Donwload, however this is not recommended nad may result in the coruption o fhte claibration. You should contact the tuner that originally tuned it and attempt to get them to email you the file they have saved.

Once you have uploaded your calibration using the current version of software you will be able to datalog properly.

thanks, the only problem with contacting the tuner is that I got it tuned roughly 5 years ago. I highly doubt he still has the calibration. I'll try that though, it won't hurt. If all else fails, I guess I'll try the download option. It just sucks that there isn't an easier remedy for this. I'm can say with certainty that this happens a lot. A lot of people sell their cars or tuner shops go out of business or hard drives get fried all the time. I'm not too tech savvy but I'm sure there can be an easier answer for these problems.

The software now has a feature called the Vault that allows you to store your files remotely on the Hondata server.

so I found an old datalog that I posted back when I was having an issue. Is there anything I can do with that to get my old calibration back? If so, how?

A datalog has nothing to do with your calibration. If your tuner cannot get it for you then you can try downloading form the ECU, but the calibration my be corrupted.
