lean idle
I'm having an intermittent lean issue at idle and sometimes at low engine loads and only happens after warm up. I have tested the fuel pressure and it is at 57psi even when leaning out and I tested the ohms on the injectors and they are all within spec. Air-fuel ratio will slowly lean out until slowly leans out to 17-18 and starts misfiring and carrying on and sometimes stalling, always starts right back up. I tuned it to idle around 13 afr since this has started happening. I've tried adjusting the fuel compensation for the IAT sensor and the ETC sensor and it still happens. Not sure what else I should check. Any help would be great.

Re: lean idle
From Help about, what version of software are you using?
Re: lean idle
Download the most recent beta version of software from the website and see if that that resolves any of your issues. Make sure you re-upload yoru calibration using the new version.

Re: lean idle
Ok well i did the update and the problem still exists. I will upload what happend this time still intermittent lean at idle and even up to 25% on the tps.

Re: lean idle
Something is making the injector duration jump all over the place at times. I would create a new calibration and import the fuel & ignition tables, leaving all the minor tables stock. Set VTEC, injector size etc and then see what the lambda looks like.

Re: lean idle
ok well i got my new tune uploaded and had the same issue....i went to the car wash and the it really ran bad so i went ahead and replaced the cap and rotor. I have not had an issue since then so hopefully that is a fix. I appreciate all the suggestions you guys gave me thanks alot.

Re: lean idle
problem has come back. For about a week it was fine then it started to have issues again usually after warm up stiil under low load and at idle. Today I was driving down the highway and the afr's went to --- very lean and acted as if the tps was unplugged or it was under boost cut, just wouldn't go. I pulled of the road and it still wouldnt rev up as if the tps sensor was unplugged or it was under boost cut. I was datalogging at the moment but i forgot to save it but the tps sensor was reading correctly. It stalled out but started right back up and ran fine. I will attempt to create the issue again and get a datalog posted. Any ideas?

Re: lean idle
Ok after about and hour and a half of driving i finally got it to mess up again. It actually stalled out twice. It looks to me that the map sensor is not responding as it should. On the datalog i post at 2 min. 26 sec. I hit the throttle and tps reads 50% but map is still showing -21.5 psi which is about full engine vacum i believe. If you could just see what you think and let me know. I am running a 4 bar hondata map sensor any way to test it? Thanks. I'm also going to upload the tune again as i have made a few changes.

Re: lean idle
Pu tthe stock map sensor back and see if the problem persists or if it goes away. This will help you determine if it is the sensor or the wiring.

i put the stock map sensor back on and drove for about a week with no problems... Put a new 4 bar map on and seems to be good... thanks again Spunkster
