I am currently running a GM3bar, and I am thinking of switching to the HONDATA 4bar, here's the issue..
2000 Civic, H22 turbo
S300 with Hondata Electronic Boost control
ID1000's
GT3076R
453HP 337TQ at 17-18psi
Proper Plugs and factory ignition system and wiring.
This Problem has occurred 5-6 times in total since the spring...When doing a Pull hitting peak boost in either 4th or 5th gear, at around 7500rpms or so, the CEL comes on, and the car totally stalls and there is no response using the throttle....only till I have to turn the ignition completely off and back on again and then let the clutch out, it will start while still rolling, or if I roll to a stop and turn the ignition all the way off and back on again, it will start, but sometimes takes a few times to get it to start. ONE time I actually had my laptop hooked up and datalogging while it happenned and whenI checked after it had thrown a MAP sensor code. I unplugged the MAP sensor, checked for loose wiring plugged it back in and it didn't happen again for most of the summer while driving the car, But recently it happenned again twice in one run while I was out, but never had the laptop hooked up. Could this be a MAP sensor problem? If so is there any other symptoms of a faulty MAP sensor I could be looking for?
MAP sensor question
Re: MAP sensor question
It will be either a wiring issue or a fualty sensor. Try a different sensor and if that resolves it you are done.
Re: MAP sensor question
could be the wiring, cause early in the summer whenI unplugged it and pluged it back in, it never happenned after until last week....so most likely wiring, but I would rather replace the GM 3bar with the hondata4bar....cleaner, neater...
Re: MAP sensor question
so by switching to the Hondata 4bar sensor, and then going into my Smanager and selecting Hondata 4bar map sensor, the S300 will adjust to the new sensor so it won't effect my current tune?
Re: MAP sensor question
correct
Re: MAP sensor question
Thank you
