Atmel Chips, Where to buy

Well I cant find the atmel chips anywhere, where can I buy them, I need some asap. A lot of places dont have them out of stock for months???

i received an email today from digikey, saying that Atmel was discontining the at29c256 as of nov. 4th, 2004

I spoke with an Atmel representative this morning, they said there are no plans to discontinue any of the devices in the AT29C256 family.

"You may be referring to a recent End-of-Life notice that only applies to PDIP package offerings."
