Oxygen Heater, Code 41

Post by AzSi22 »

I recently had my car partial load tuned and for some reason it started to throw a code 41, O2 heater. I thought it was just a bad O2 sensor, but I replaced it with 2 known good ones but it hasn't gone away. My tuner had to diable the O2 heater so it won't throw the code. When the tuner hooked up the wideband, he hooked it directly up to the existing harness with a diode in it to bypass the heater. But now the code won't go away. Any input? BTW, the car is a 99 Si w/ p28, s200

Have you tried resetting the codes?

Yes, and it comes back after 2 seconds after starting the car up.

I checked out all the wiring, but its all ok. Changed O2s, ran a new wire for the heater wire, no go. Anyone have any ideas?

you need to put a 20 watt, 40-60 ohm resistor between your heater wires
