P0010

Post by himsweet66six »

ok here is the run down of my problem. current setup. 05 type s with full k24a2 swap. previously i was using a kpro prc ecu with the 05 jumper harness. car ran fine and never threw this code. i recently swapped my ecu for a kpro prb ecu. everything seems to run fine but when i give it gas it throws the p0010 code. i just bought a brand new vtc solenoid hoping it would fix the problem but it threw the same code again. i am not sure what is happening or how to fix this. does anyone have any insight?

What is the serial number of the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

This ECU is not designed for running with an adapter harness. The 05-06 adapter harness is only for use in an 05-06 RSX and is not for use with engine swaps.

Ok so how can I get this to work? Can I ground the vtc(-) to the chassis or run a wire to splice into the correct wire on the harness?

The ECU would have to be sent in to be upgraded to work in an 05-06 RSX. The cost for this is $250. You would have to fill out the K-Pro form and note what it is you want done and include a cashier's check for the full amount.

so its not possible to just ground out the sensor? I dont understand how my kpro prc ecu was able to run fine.

Fill out the from at http://www.hondata.com/kproecuinfoform.html

Choose the option for the 05-06 K-Pro. Y0u must include a cashier's check for $250

The other harness may have been counterfeit.
