romulator

Post by kender »

I just got back from vacation and don't know if I missed something. the hondata homepage under accesorries show the romulator with a "new" icon next to it. I read the link and it says the romulator is "real time". has this just been changed from the older romulators? it says any changes in the rom editor are automatically loaded to the romulator, but does that mean the ecu is now running off the change? do you no longer have to edit everything and then turn off the car to loead to the emulator then start the car back up? I know I will need the usb to serial as my laptop only has 1 serial port. if this is the "real time" that lets you change say the timing advanced and immediately as the car is driving it starts to detonate, or loose power, if you advanced/retard too much then I need one yesterday. thanks

This is not new, it has been available now for over a year. It is a real time emulator which can have changes made on the fly.

the romulator has been available for a year, or the on the fly real time programming have been avail for over a year. about 4-6 months ago the hondata page listed the romulator but was reccomending the race logic emulator because it was a real time emulator, the hondata site does have a new icon next to the romulator link that was not there the last time I looked at the romulator about 2 months ago, so that is why I asked. I did not remember the romulator being a real time emulator. but since it is, I will be getting one as soon as my paycheck hits the bank on friday. :D
