Problem Locking to Vehicle
Problem Locking to Vehicle
When I try to lock my brand new flashpro to my 2011 Si I get the message: "The calibration in this ecu (civic Si 2006 us/canada - stock) does not match the ecu type (fg2/fa5 civic Si 2007-2011 us/Canada) if this ecu is returned to stock then the existing calibration will be lost". I've seen other threads on this message, and I have the most recent version of Flashpro Manager (1.2.8.0). I'm sending information to Hondata Support right now to help you with the update. Thanks.
Re: Problem Locking to Vehicle
This isn't a problem, it just means that whatever calibration is in the ECU is not a stock Honda calibration.
Re: Problem Locking to Vehicle
Let's go back one step. The most recent version of software is 1.3.2.0, not 1.2.8.0.
What is the part number on your ECU?

Re: Problem Locking to Vehicle
I updated and it still says the same message but my ECU number is 37820-RRB-A14.
Re: Problem Locking to Vehicle
The short answer is everything is ok.
The long answer is that the software has identified your ECU as 07-11 (which has VSA) but the calibration as 06 (which does not have VSA), which is why it is giving the warning. This is because of how Honda identifies the calibration. If you do return to stock, the correct calibration will be put back in the ECU and everything should be fine.
If you are worried then lock to the ECU, upload a calibration, return back to stock and then check your VSA still works. You don't need to unlock the FlashPro.
