My ecu was sent to you to have the s300 installed. Then it was tuned and the car ran fine for over a year. Finaly the car sat for a few weeks and the battery went dead. I went to the parts store and and purchased a new battery. Installed it and found out my car would not start. It would crank but never start. I could hold the throttle and it would run but very baddly. it would back fire and not idle. Check engine light on the whole time with the red led in the ecu also on. i called overspeed and Steve there recommended me to buy another USB cable. so i did and retried up loading any tune from hondata. nothing changed. Steve asked me if the red led light was still on witch it was. He said it might be an ecu problem. so i took it to him and had it sent to hondata. they sent it back and said there was nothing wrong found with the ecu. so i plugged it all back in when i got it and retried it all over. still had a red led light on. when the key is turned on the light briefly turned green and then solid red. when i opened the ecu to get the serial number i noticed there was another green led light way from the red light that stayed green and never changed. i noticed that at the bottom of my Hondata SManager 2.0.0.0 i noticed it said "on line" with the word "driver installed" next to it. when cranking the engine it will not show live plotes of my rpm, air temp, or any other sensor reading. i tried a friends chipped ecu and the car ran and idled on its on. did not run perfect but alot better than with my s300. so if you could please help me out that would be great thanks. i also found this other post on someone elses very similar problem: http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic. ... d+light+on

Download the most recent beta version of software from the downloads section of the website and see if that resolves the problem.

ok got a chance to download beta 2.1.1.0 and at first the light turned green for like 2 seconds and then back to red. nothing has changed at all. i retried ot upload factory tunes from smanager and retried. i also tried to erase the ecu just to try and while the my laptop was trying to erase the light on my ecu was green. then a prompt came up on my laptop saying ecu could to be erased and the light turned red again. i re tried to program and once again nothing happened. thanks for the help again
