2006 S2000 FUEL PROBLEM

Hi All, i have a problem with my 2006 Honda s2000 fuel system so I've converted the fuel system to one with a return instead of the original returnles sytem but now the engine is running lean. so my question is: is the fuel pump of a stock S2000 continously running or it pulsates since the original fuel system is returnless? Thanks
