i was wondering if it was possible to fix compressor surge with the right tune?
and im not talking about a fluttering BOV...
example 40mph roll and i step on the gas in 5th gear low RPM heavy loud only, boost starts to build and while building boost it flutters and gets worse and louder the more i step on the throttle ...it sounds like shushushushushuSHUSHUSHU... same goes for 3rd and 4th at low low rpm/speed and high load..
CAR DETAILS: B18B1LStranny ECU:s300!!p08 or sumthing...
garrett t3/t4 60 trim turbo, tial BOV, and Wastegate
3in exhaust and exhaust
590cc injectors rebuilt and just installed <-------this is when we raised boost today and did tune job(old psi was 5psi which didnt surge 6lb spring and now 10lb spring 10psi which surges only when HIGH LOAD like when you take a mountain bike and put it in the highest gear and you start to peddle)
arp headstuds and port and polished head .. air flow should be enough to handle 10psi...
when on the throttle running it threw gears 1-4 it builds boost fine...
what should i do about the surge ???
Can a Pro Help Fix?
Re: Can a Pro Help Fix?
the spring in ur bov needs changed. or try pulling from a stronger vac source. you really shouldnt be boosting 5th.
