Basic Install for Track Car

Post by Cliff Stoll »

I have an 2006 F22c which I am looking to put into my track car with a bespoke chassis.
Setup :-
1) ITB not DBW so will be looking to manage engione load using a TPS from older model.
2) NA so nothing fancy for Boost etc required
3) I have no original ECU just engine, sensors and loom
4) Emissions not an issue so EVAP etc will not be present and second O2 sensor only for reference if at all.
5) I am using a GPS speedo and have independent Oil/water gauges so the only output I need from the ECU is Tach.
Questions :-
1) Can I Buy an ECU from Ebay and use a Flashpro or without the original immobilizer etc is this a total none starter.
2) If Flashpro is out would there be a better chance of using an older Kpro if I can get my hands on one or again with only the engine basics and none of the rest of the cars electronics available is it just as stupid an idea?

You cannot use the FlashPro. A KPro/S2000 would work.
