Afm fuel table
Afm fuel table
Hi hondata
Sorry for the question, but what is function of the "afm fuel table" on the afm cals.
I can't see any help file on this.
Thanks in advance

Re: Afm fuel table
AFM flow converts the AFM voltage into airflow in mass/time units.

Re: Afm fuel table
Thanks for the fast reply, i know that table and i always tuned my fuel from there.
My question is about the new table "Afm fuel" that have air mass and injector (ms)
Calibration (advanced) - fuel - afm fuel

Re: Afm fuel table
This table?

It converts the cylinder air mass to injector duration which gives a stoichiometric air/fuel ratio.

Re: Afm fuel table
Yes hondata, that's the table.
When and why we should change the values? Can't you do some help file on this.

Re: Afm fuel table
For stock injectors you should not change the table. It only really needs to altered with larger injectors and forced induction.

Re: Afm fuel table
Hi Hondata,
A colleague and I have the problem, that the idle falls down to ~500 rpms if we change gear or press the clutch (only with AFM or Hybrid cals!)
The technical data from both cars are the following:
1. Honda Civic TypeR FN2
2. Rotrex supercharged @10 PSI (forced induction)
3. RC 750cc injectors
4. Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
I have attached a calibration and a datalog of the problem.
Can we fixing the problem if we increase the afm fuel tables?
If yes, how it works, what should we do and what is to be considered??

Re: Afm fuel table
It is fuel tuning. The tables seem very rich at low load and the AF is going very rich. Part of the problem is the dead times are too low. Also, why is the cam angle zeroed?

Re: Afm fuel table
It is not a finished map but the problem is also present on a final map.
How can i fix the problem?
How can i make the dead times higher?

Re: Afm fuel table
My tuner writes, that changes in this table has no effect in hybrid cals?
Also this tables has no effekt in hybrid cals?:
http://www.hondata.com/flashpro_forced_ ... h_afm.html
Why not?
A hybrid cal is is nothing more than a AFM cal with MAP fuel tables!?
My tuner writes both things has no effect on speed density based fueling (hybrid cal).
Is this right or imbecility?

Re: Afm fuel table
Assuming you mean the AFM flow and fuel tables then yes, they are not used with speed density.
Why not? Because speed density uses manifold pressure and engine speed for fuel lookup.

Re: Afm fuel table
If we use a Hybrid Cal with MAP fuel tables with the option "Use speed/density (MAP) fuel tables" and the addon "Minimum pressure for speed/denity" with corresponding pressure like this:
Then it is so?:
If we enter a pressure in the field, then we can use AFM (AFM flow and AFM fuel tables) like a normal AFM Calibration, if we are below this pressure (entered in the field)?!
If we are above the pressure (entered in the field), than the ECU switch to MAP fuel tables, so AFM flow and AFM fuel have no longer a influence!?
