Does the TB I use have to be honda?

I am building an aluminum intake and I was wondering if I can use a TB from a different car/truck as far as TPS readings for hondata or romeditor?

Also can I eliminate IAC without getting codes or engine light?

It will have to have the same voltage characteristics that a honda TPS sensor has. The IAC cannot be eliminated in the software.
