FPM error says "A monitor program has been found running"

Post by fffrogout »

I installed FPM V1.2.8 on a windows 7 64 bit computer. It says it installed ok, but when i go to run the program I get the following error. "A monitor program has been found running in your system." The program wont open at all.
Any ideas how to fix this would be great.

It thinks you are trying to hack it. Open task manager, select 'show processes for all users' and either post a screenshot of the name & description part of the take list, or email it to support@hondata.com if you would prefer.

Maybe he isnt hacking it but have some monitors installed by 3rd party applications like uninstallers, something like registry or file monitors.

Anyway, OP better try to run it on clean pc without lots of SW on it. I did separate windows install for Hondata products and manage it with Acronis. Never had problems with drivers , errors, stalls , etc. Highly protected SW usually coflicts with other SW, antiviruses, some dongle drivers and so on.

FYI Derek , good reverse ingineers always use custom tools coz many developers use process filters to protect from students )

I stopped the process called windows live essentials id monitor. The program opened after that with no error. I closed it and checked task manager again and the process restarted. FPM opens now even with the process running. Not really sure whats going on.
thanks for the help
