Can some one alter this map to work under load?

Post by hondabuild »

i have
b18b1
57 trimm garrett t3/t4 turbo
4 bar map sensor
s300
tial wastegate and blowoff valve
3in down pipe
3 in thermal research exhaust
wideband and boost gauge
stock injectors
stock intakemanifold
log type exhaust manifold
rywire milspec harness

car reads on the wideband: 14.7 idle(when trying to rev it jumps down to 12.sometimes lower which i heard was not normal),cruising is 12.5 -13.(between 45-70), but when im in boost or on the gas too much it will sputter and cut out... maybe i need bigger injectors which i plan on buy 550cc but im broke as a joke for now.. lol and i was hoping someone knew enough about s300 to alter the basemap in the attachments to make my car run a little bit leaner at higher rpms(when in boost says rch) and maybe change something that will stop my car from cutting out when im cruising on the highway and go to pass someone at like 80 -90 it cuts out like a sputter(and I instantly start to easy off the throttle) cant afford to break the dang thing lol...

any pros out there wanna help ?

You cannot run boost on stock injectors.

The only way to check base timing is with a timing light.

timing must be fine because car runs smooth and i dont kno what ur talking about .. u can run boost with stock injector bc im doing it now... i can build around 4 lbs of boost with No problems but when im at high speed like 70mph -90 mph if i give it more than like 50% throttle car will sputter or cut out a little...

ive also heard of people running 9 lbs of boost with stock injectors ... but i wouldnt do that... i think its pushing it at 4lbs already...

anyways can someone plz fix this basemap to work at higher speeds or is that impossible bc of injectors???

I could be wrong, but you might be maxing out the stock injectors duty cycle; and like spunkster said, check you total timing. 16* Is a good base idle timing (make sure u manually set it in s300 then with your timing light set the ignition timing). Mechanical timing is different from Ignition timing. . If you are breaking up at 80+ mph make sure you calibrate the TPS voltage min-max in the s300 (you could be out of the voltage range with the throttle percentage). That's what I can think of right now to help you out.

i now have an update for you guys...

i now have 590cc rated/tested/rebuilt evo injectors ...

and problem i had with car breaking up/cutting out at high speeds was due to a VSS problem which makes perfect since now!! i had launch control on at 4500rpm and while accelerating car did not want to go over 4500rpm bc s300 did read that my car was even moving so launch control is now set at 7500 and it no longer does the cut out/breaking up lol...

BUT! it now does something completely different which i would appreciate some help with...

now the car has 550cc injectors and 10lb spring w/ a light tune done by a friend of mine but we ran into a problem with a compressor surge ... not a fluttering BOV...
for example: car is cruising on road at 40 mph in 5th gear (trying to save gas :) and i give it 50%-75% throttle to accelerate , boost builds but when it hits 5lbs of boost or more ON HIGH LOAD like 40 mph in 5th gear and i accelerate it starts to surge...
Car runs great if i drop into lower gear and run rpms up to make boost build faster, i dont get surge...

if any one has delt with this problem and could help.. plz doo!
i have new basemap that works like explained above and i will send if i get reply from someone knowing about these problems
