Hello,
Ive got a UK ITR, problem as follows:
Ive recently had a OBD1 P28 ECU Hondata Modified and fitted with S100 chip connected via Hondata Harness, ive got the rev limit set at 9700RPM and when im in VTEC at about 7500RPM it has a really big misfire, its like the engine suddenly stops due to the momentum, the engine warning light comes on at this point then goes off after a few seconds and then normal driving is allowed.
Thanks & Regards, SeanKenyon...

It happens every time i go into VTEC, it has varied from 4500RPM to 7500RPM, my VTEC engages at 5,300RPM.
Today i came to start my car and the engine warning light stayed on upon starting the engine and the car was running in Limp home mode.
Ive checked the harness by moving it harshly with no effect.
Your help is most appreciated.

You need to check the ECU, ROM and also the conversion harness wiring. I have seen a similar problem where not all the power and ground connections were present in the harness. The ECU would run by drawing power through sensors and the idle valve, but once you hit VTEC the extra current draw of the solenoid would drop the ECU voltage until the car misfired. It could be something similar.
