got a hybrid need it runnin

I blew the stock gsr B18c vtec.
I bought another block with 11.5-1s
Put a different head from another place that was tricked a little and P&P'd.
Used the original cams.
The stock gsr intake wouldn't fit so I got a type R intake. P-72 stock ecu.
It runs but no vtec. It runs very rich too.
The question is sinse this is sort of a hybrid should I be looking at some diagnostic route to figure it out and what should that be.
