89 civic w/ 1'st gen b16a.. if I go s200, what ecu and dist?

Post by brokenojoke »

Tell me if I'm doing this right.....
I get a jumper harness for obd0 to obd1....
I gut out 1'st gen b16 distributor and replace all the innerds with the stuff from the obd1 distributor... right?

Then I have to get an obd1 ecu and have it chipped w/ the s200 right??? or wrong?? :?:

Help me out please.... I don't want to spend money I don't need to.

Yes, you need the obd0 to obd1 jumper harness.
it won't work to gut out the obd0 distributor the innerds are different sizes and it's hard to get obd0 distributors apart without breaking them.
You need to get a obd1 or obd2 Integra GSR distributor (others may work) but i know GSR distributors will bolt on to the first gen B16a (PR3) head with all 3 legs. The only other thing you need to do is get the plugs from your obd0 distributor on to your new distributor so it will plug into your wirering harness on your engine.

This is what I did.
