wanting to hook up the aem uego wideband

Post by brightwhiteEJ1 »

what is the best way to install the aem wideband. so that i know it is sending info back to the computer. next thing i just bought this car from a guy at a steal of a price. having to deal with wiring issues, loaded the d series supercharged base map into the computer(made a world of difference) but i put a stock o2 sensor in for the time being while i wait for the aem to come in(only because someone bought an lc1 and did a hack job to the whole thing rendering it useless). now here is the ? do i leave the stock o2 sensor in and mount the aem after the stock o2 or take out the stock 02, and if taking out the stock o2 what pin does the aem need to be in for it to work with the 300, any and all info will be a world of help. thank for your time

Follow those instructions and substitute the wire colors for the correct ones on the AEM wideband.

just so anyone wants to know this blasted thing will not work hooked up to the s300 at all. the only thing i could figure out to do was leave the stock O2 sensor in its place that way the ecu can use it to adjust A/F readings. then as close as you can have a hole put in the pipe as close to the stock O2 as possible and weld the bung that came with the kit in the pipe. so what does that tell you. now its just another 200 dollar gauge, but what i will say is that it is within 1-2% of what my laptop says that the 300 says. so dont jump the gun to buy one of these things until you take the advice from hondata and use what they recommend. so it is understood i am not bashing the aem wideband i'm just pist that i jumped the gun, cause i thought i was making the right choice.
