Wideband problems in closed loop

Post by hon2984 »

whats up guys....I have had my UEGO in my car for a short while now, I have no other 02 sensor. UEGO is wired to the ELD, the voltage off set has been adjusted. The car was street tuned and all my A/F ratios were good, 12.8 @ WOT, 13.0 @ patial throttle, and 14.7 at low load conditions. O2 heater is disabled.

I have noticed some differences when using the wideband for closed loop operation, the A/F will cycle like a narrowband gauge from about 13.0-16.0 when driving in a low load situation, noticed mostly on the highway. When I uncheck the box to use the wideband for closed loop, i get a CEL for the O2 sensor (after a drive cycle), but the gauge does not cycle back and forth, the A/F will act normal while driving. Is there something else that needs to be changed in Smanager?

I have not checked to see if the resistors need removed....I'm still not really wanting to start removing stuff from a 800$ ECU.
If I have to I will but, if there is another way, such as a different input, that would be optimal.

any help greatly appreciated!

It will change when in closed loop because it is making corrections based on short term trim. You name need to adjust the rate of change settings.

thanks Spunkster! after looking again my voltage off set is -.1

rate of change as it is setup now ( I have not made any changes prior)

slow 12 17 17 17
fast rich to lean 64 64 68 0
fast lean to rich 64 64 68 0

do you have a suggestion on which boxes to adjust and which way to go + or -?
