VTEC won't engage without cycling ignition power
I've had this issue lately when my engine is cold that prevents me from engaging VTEC without cycling the power to the ECU after the engine warms up. I've found that if I simply turn the ignition switch down a click momentarialy while driving (after it has warmed up), then back to ON (without disengaging the clutch), VTEC will start engaging. I noticed it for the first time after using the Live Tuning feature in 1.1.8.5. Is this a Live Tuning bug?

I forgot to mention that this is with an '08 S2000.

My issue is that VTEC won't engage if the car is started while cold, unless I toggle the key switch after it's fully warmed up. It doesn't matter how long I drive the car, it won't engage VTEC until I power cycle it. Below is my calibration, and 2 datalogs. The first datalog was record several minutes after starting the car (cold). The datalog ended as soon as I clicked the key to the off position. I immediately clicked the key back to the On position without even pushing in the clutch or coming to a stop, so I didn't even need to push the "Start" button again. I immediately clicked the Datalog button again to record the 2nd attached datalog.
This seems to be related to Live Tuning, since it doesn't seem to happen when I clear the Live Tuning table selections in FlashPro Manager.

What exactly do you have selected for live tuning?

I have all tables selected for live tuning, with 90% memory used.

So are you saying that every time you drive the car, you hook up the laptop and do live tuning?

No, I don't do live tuning every day. If there's a reason why I should disable live tuning when not actually doing any tuning, then I'll do that. However, there are also times when I do hookup the laptop to do some live tuning when the engine is cold, and those times still require me to power cycle the ignition after it warms up before it will allow VTEC to engage.

When not live tuning, disable live tuning tables and re-upload the calibration to the ECU.

I get that, but what about when you actually ARE live tuning? Is it documented anywhere in the help file that you should get the engine up to normal operating temperature BEFORE enabling Live Tuning?
I have uploaded a new calibration with Live Tuning turned off, and VTEC seems fine again. However, it still "feels" like a software bug that the car won't VTEC with Live Tuning enabled without a power cycle. If it's a design limitation, then I think it just needs to be a documented requirement.

I have reproduced this. Can you try disabling different things in live tuning and let me know wheich one allows it to work. I am trying this as well, but having one other person trying it will help resolve it faster.

I'll try. If I had to guess which table it's related to, it would be VTEC Window Pressure.
