Flashpro doesn't lock to vin?

Post by ludocivic »

I have a civic R18 with the Fullrace turbo, first I can't download the new 1..1.8.5 , I have 1.1.7.4???? My car doesn't recognize the Vin, I get an error message telling me that the VIN doesn't match??? What can I do, I spent a lot of money but I can't tune my car so now I can't use it??? I have a USA ECU and it is supported by Hondata???....why the VIN is so important for the setting of the engine, we don't need that, it could just lock to ECU...I really need your help quickly as I am stuck with no car.....Thank you

The latest software version is 1.1.9.6

You have a USA ECU, but what vehicle is this in? What is the exact error message you are getting? What is the serial number of the FlashPro? Does your ECU have a VIN?

My car is a Honda Civic R18 auto, my Flashpro serial is: FP-R18-US-50131, the ECU is# 37820-RNA-A75, yes when I connect Flashpro I can see a VIN number. I get a message saying that Flashpro can't lock to vehicule because VIN doesn't match... Why the VIN is so important? Can I lock Flashpro without VIN???? The ECU is new no other owner before...

I also went to the Honda dealer , he could manage to make the key work and immobilizer but that's it... I still can't lock in the car...

Also when I connect Flashpro under the ECU tag I can read: vehicle model unknow and vehicule family unknow, I was told that it was because of the VIN????

I have a Civic R18 auto not SI so the software 1.1.9.6 is not available for this car, I went on your website it shows 1.1.8.5 for my car but I can't download it without an error message???

We do not recommend or support swapping US ECUs into vehicles from other countries. Doing so is done at your own risk and may not work.

Ok I understand that but it is a US ECU and I was told it works.. if it doesn't what is the problem.?

Even if you don't support swapping , you could give some advices to make it work as a car lover...Please I have the Turbo installed I am from USA but work in Thailand, I wanted to have the best so I bought Hondata...Help me to make it work please...

I got the ECU in USA so I could make it work because this is the only requirement on your site..so it should work!!

The engine is the same, ok not now since I have the FullRace Turbo but it is Hondata that they use so I wanted to get the same as I read great reviews about this set up....what make it not work??? I spend more than 5000$ plus the cost of install, I would like to make it work and not have to change Hondata for HKS F-CON....If you can help me and tell me where the error comes from I could get it fix at the Honda dealer here as I have a good friend already managed successfully the key and immobilizer...

Thank you very much....
