I've been very sad since my kpro stopped working for me one hot day leaving me stranded. I thought for a while that the timing was off but the people here is having the same problems I am. I did get my engine running only when I connect my stock ECU and disconnect my CKP connection. I'm using 3.0.3 Kmanager with the stock tsx k24 cal. I have a 05 RSX type S with a k24 block. Serial number of the K-Pro is 12610 and I bought the kpro from clubrsx's forums on jan 2010 from Bserious. Update: Kpro runs the motor only whenever the CKP sensor isn't connected. Could it be faulty ecu, wiring, or programming?
The code it gave me whenever it stopped working was CKP sensor outside performance range, so i bought another sensor hopin that fix my problem but it didn't. The old sensor had scrapes on the sensing spot.

Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
scrapes on the sensor indicates that something is touching/hitting it and if the ecu does not pickup the engine RPM it wont start.
i had a problem with mind a few weeks back where the signal wire for the ckp was open and the ecu was not picking it up, wont allow me to start.
did you rechk the new one for scrapes as well?

Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
not yet, though when I took off the timing cover, I didn't see any scrapes on the new one that i remember. Which one of the wires are for the signal, I might just try running a wire straight to the ecu if nothing else or see if having the ECU relearn the CKP pulse plate again by limping my car to the dealership.
Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
Blue wire - signal
Yellow/black - power
brown/yellow - ground

Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
ok i checked voltage, and power to ground is about 12v and the signal to ground is 5v. apparently the engine harness isn't bad it may just be the pulse plate from where it scraped on the old sensor, ideas? the new sensor didn't have any scrapes and i tried the old sensors and no luck
Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
how did you chk the signal wire? if you are going to use an ohms meter disconnect the signal wire plug at the ECU.samueru wrote:I did get my engine running only when I connect my stock ECU and disconnect my CKP connection. its happening with both the KPro ecu and the stock so that rules out the ECUs
Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
yeah i am quite sure it isn't the ecu at this point. The method to test the voltage i used was turning the ign on and testing the connector's volts. Should I attempt a test another way?
Re: Kpro isn't running :'(
ok, thats one wire, how about the ground and mostly important the signal wire?samueru wrote:yeah i am quite sure it isn't the ecu at this point. The method to test the voltage i used was turning the ign on and testing the connector's volts. Should I attempt a test another way?
