This issue will slowly become a bigger issue as ppl update to 3.0.3.
Hondata,
Do you guys seriously not see a trend here? Customers are having the same EXACT symptoms after downloading 3.0.3. And we are all patiently awaiting a solution, which we've yet to gain coincidence that a solution is being worked on!

We are looking in to this, but it would be helpful if people followed the posting guidelines and gave us more than minimum amount of information (something more than "I'm have the same problem too"). What you may not realize is there are many hundreds of people using KManager V3.0.3 without any problems, so it is a matter of determining what is the common element amongst those having problems. Without an additional information, that is not possible.

I would love to give more information, however my ecu doesn't allow me to view the serial or anything due to the fact that it is now reading "Ignition OFF", when the key is in the II position. What other information can I provide to help rectify this issue?Hondata wrote:We are looking in to this, but it would be helpful if people followed the posting guidelines and gave us more than minimum amount of information (something more than "I'm have the same problem too"). Unplug and replug the USB in, that usually brings it back. If not, close KManager, unplug and replug, then reopen Kmanager.Clean_EH2 wrote:I would love to give more information, however my ecu doesn't allow me to view the serial or anything due to the fact that it is now reading "Ignition OFF", when the key is in the II position. Re: Car only starts for a second and no upload option anymor
For a start, the exact version number of KManager, the Windows version and type, the KPro serial # and the type of ECU it is installed in and the last calibration which you upload.Clean_EH2 wrote:I would love to give more information, however my ecu doesn't allow me to view the serial or anything due to the fact that it is now reading "Ignition OFF", when the key is in the II position. Next, details about the problem which you're seeing, starting with the basics. eg Does KManager show that the USB drivers are installed? Does it show on line when the KPro is plugged in? If so, what does the 'K-Pro' window show? Even better - use the send support information.
Then, if everything so far is good, what happen when you try to upload. If there are any error messages, the exact text of those messages.

Re: Car only starts for a second and no upload option anymor
The only reason you wouldn't get an upload option is because the ECU and the laptop aren't talking. I've experienced this many times with this new ver 3 release and every time I've been able to get reconnected by disconnecting the USB, closing KManager, reopening KManager and reconnecting the USB. I got stuck on the side of the road the first day I had it because I accidently hit upload instead of start datalog and that is how I fixed it.
The only reason the car wouldn't start if it was running fine previoiusly is because the upload calibration isn't completing. Multiple times I've hit upload calibration and it either failed or didn't do anything at all. But again, every time I've been able to fix it by doing the above steps. There is a problem with the software, I'm just not sure exactly what it is (obviously, neither is Hondata yet).
Hondata - can you clear up the preferred/correct method of uploading a calibration? Before, all we had was the 'upload' icon on the toolbar and in the menu bar settings, but now we have an upload option the Kpro window. I think one of them (Kpro window) shows 'saving calibration' after it uploads to the ECU, which is a new behavior for this release. I'm not sure which is the right one to use and I think its part of the reason people are having so much trouble, in addition to all the above.

Re: Car only starts for a second and no upload option anymor
Online -> Update (also on the toolbar) - reflashes the ECU, and with a KPro3, also may update the calibration as below (depending on the KPro window checkbox option).
KPro window -> Calibration -> Upload - just uploads the calibration to the KPro3, which is not the same as reflashing the ECU.
I see your point how it can be confusing.

Re: Car only starts for a second and no upload option anymor
This is the info I got from the customers. All of them were on my tuning computer that was a Windows XP SP3. Been using kpro on this laptop for 3 years now.
PRC
Serial 05005649
PRB A02
Serial 4882
Those are the two I have got back. I have a few customers that will not even connect to the kpro to see if they have problems.

Re: Car only starts for a second and no upload option anymor
It would set a lot of peoples mind at ease if hondata would acknowledge that there is a an obvious software bug with Kmanager 3.0.3.
I can see how frustrating it must be for some people, who are left with a dead or partly dead(5500rev limit) car.
The question is, will people in the mean time use public transport with their fingers crossed hoping for a fix from hondata?? (it seems like the right thing to do, since we all payed well over a 1k for our kpro)
or will we seek out alternative engine management systems ?
maybe we should all go out and buy kpro 3 .?? haha
anyone here game enough?

I'm using kpro 3 and I've, (so far) been able to resolve every problem I've described using the steps I've provided. I'm using win7 on a MBP, no driver errors.
